STUDIOS
*March 6, 2025 price parameters coming soon*
Below are some basic parameters of a Studio. We will determine, with your input, a specific plan based on your needs, your budget, your number of participants, number of days for the Studio, and your broad goals.
All Studios are also available online, which will not significantly change the cost—we put the same work and consideration into both. We love in-person, on-site Studios, but understand that’s not possible for everyone to host. If we do come to your location, costs quoted do not include transportation and housing for instructors.
While we know the value of our work and need to earn fees that are compatible with our skills, we aim to be reasonably-priced, so are completely willing to with your budget or work to help you justify one.
We apologize for not listing prices, but it’s nearly impossible since all the Studios are wildly different. But we can work as low as $1,000 for a bite-sized talk, or $10-$30K or more for a multi-day, on site Studio, which would include outside speakers and 2-3 instructors.
We can work to help you develop a year-round or semester-long Studio. We can talk to your class or course themes or come up with our own. Are you unaffiliated? Maybe we can add you to a Studio that’s in the works. Or maybe we add your name to the ever-growing list of unaffiliated people. Or maybe you find a small cadre of folks like you and we design a studio around you and your work and/or your research grant money? Do you want to work through a manuscript or just one page? The options are endless.
We are also working on posting some collaborator-led Studios that are very specific in goal or theme. Their prices will be listed and all the funds will go to them. For instance, collaborator-led Studios could include something like these:
How to interview
How to write an OpEd
Patterns, structures, and rhythms in narrative
Writing characters, including yourself
How to write a book review,
and more.
